Walk to Daymer along the long sandy beach from Rock, or through the low sand dunes. Here you feel that you begin to approach the open sea. Stand here and think - at last the Atlantic, now just out there; only just round the next headland...
Cornwall, at Britain’s southwesterly tip, is virtually surrounded by sea with beaches sprinkled about much of its 300 miles of stunning coastline. This is a log of my continuing project to try to visit a different Cornish beach every day (or as often as circumstances permit), and to post a photograph of that visit as soon as possible. I have set myself no hard and fast rules, and aim to work simply within the spirit of the project. I started this project on 31 January, 2007.
